Your church for uni

Students

We love students. We want to help you belong to a community, figure out what to believe and become who God made you to be.

Welcome to City Church! We are a diverse community of students who worship, learn, and serve together – passionate about exploring our faith and growing together.

Our church is  located in the heart of the city, a short walk from many of Manchester's major universities, including the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, and the Royal Northern College of Music.

Each Sunday, we gather for good Bible teaching and an engaging worship service. After the 6:30 service, we all head to Common to eat pizza and get to know other students and members of the church.

Throughout the week, you can dive deeper into God's word and grow in your faith by joining a Connect group and our monthly event called Students Together. We love doing regular social stuff – including movie & game nights, walks, picnics, beach trips, and BBQs.

Two highlights of the year are our Weekender – two days of fun and deep teaching – and our Getaway – four days in away together, bonding in so many ways!

Another great way to grow in faith and relationships is through joining serving teams, book clubs, the football team and more.

Whether you are new to faith or a seasoned believer, we believe you will find a home away from home at City Church.

I find student ministry engaging, supportive and inspiring. My friendships with students and mentoring from staff help me grow as a Christian.

We do believe the church should help with teaching and training kids. But, actually, most of our help for parents and carers is done through relationships.
